Visit Cordoba For A Historical Tour

A holiday to Cordoba is not just for the warm climate and the sunny skies. It is for some fascinating history. The area is filled with historical sites and points of interest that intrigue even the most skeptical historian. Four places of interest when you travel to Cordoba are the La Calera del Diquecito, Cur Brochero, Mono and Laguna Villa Mar Chiquita. Although these are not historical buildings, the areas do show the culture and scenery that is what makes Cordoba what it is today. You will be amazed when you visit these four areas. What you see and learn is something you never forget.

Mono is a place where you can see the volcanoes, valleys, pampas and high summits. The area has a breathtaking view of wildflowers and the area all around you. You will never see an area like this anywhere else. The picture perfect views are spectacular. One could sit for hours, glaze out over the land, and see its true beauty untouched by man. Understanding and appreciating nature and all that comes with it is found in this area. Take a walk around the area and explore the land as the natives did so many years ago.

Another area to include seeing when you travel for your holidays to Cordoba is Laguna Villa Mar Chiquita. The area provides a true adventure with the Mediterranean. The temperatures are very hot, but the flamencos are incredibly beautiful to see. You could spend an entire day in this area and come away with an understanding of why no one has built up the area. The area is pure and nature is scene all around you. The people who visit have often said that you feel a sense of peace and an overwhelming warmth when visiting this area.

La Calera del Diquecito is where you can see the lime ovens and some of the very first homes in the area. The chapel and the mill are original from the middle 1700's. The history of this area is amazing and something you do not see or learn about in books. The village of Cur Brochero is beautiful with sandy beaches and some very interesting people. The native Comectringones Indians still reside in the area. The homes are primitive as they were in the beginning of the village. All these places are where you will learn about culture and history in a different way. You cannot find this information in a museum or library.
