Do you want to spend your holiday in Barcelona having fun and excitement? You will want to visit the beaches, museums and all the other historical attractions. You will find that the fashion, the food, the architecture and music in Barcelona is fascinating. The Picasso Museum should be one of your stops. This museum not only has all of Picasso's artworks, but it also has Jacqueline Picasso's dishes, vases and dishes dating back to the early 1950s. Looking at the artworks of Picasso, you get the feeling that you understand where he was coming from when he was panting. His paintings review his intimacy with Barcelona.
Two other museums that you want to see while you are in Barcelona are the Joan Miro Foundation and the Maritime Museum. The Maritime Museum sits across from the Christopher Columbus statue. The exhibits of the model ships, interactive exhibits and the replicas are fascinating to see. The Tapies Foundation is another place to visit. The rooftop terrace view is amazing. It shows you the area of Barcelona like you have never seen before. With all the museums to see in Barcelona, you still want to make time for everything else such as the beaches and the nightlife.
The beaches of Barcelona are amazing to see. The sand is clean, the water is blue and the view is spectacular. You will see palm trees that seem to go on forever. For the most part the weather is perfect in Barcelona, but some days you will have overcast skies. Kite surfing and windsurfing are very popular in Barcelona on the beaches. The beaches have little beach huts where you can sit down and enjoy a drink out of the direct sunlight. If you are looking for some fun and some great water activities, Barcelona's place to go. If you are farther for the beach, you can take the yellow line metro to get to any of the beaches.
There is one beach in particular that you should consider when taking your holiday to Barcelona. The Nova Icaria is the closest beach to the Olympic Marina. This beach had to very popular dining restaurants, beach bars and a promenade. Once you leave the Olympic Marina, you will find that there are endless numbers of restaurants and bars that you can just walk to and enjoy a drink or some fine cuisine. Your vacation cannot get any better than this when you travel to Barcelona.
