Cheap Holidays: Travel InsuranceTravel insurance can seem like a scam when you are paying out money that you could use elsewhere for a vacation. In a recent study it was found that 4 out of 5 travellers end up using their travel insurance in some fashion. So by the study you know it is important to have the insurance. The travel insurance will cover several aspects of the holiday you are going on. For example travel insurance covers a late departure, lost baggage, health needs, and in some cases stolen property while in the other country. There are plenty of reasons to have the travel insurance, but how do you get a cheap holiday with the insurance? First you need to find the perfect holiday that is within your budget. This holiday should have everything you want to do in a package deal. Then you take this package price to a travel agent and ask what they could do better. By haggling with the travel agent you may be able to get a lower price than what you found online. This is a good start to that cheap holiday. Then you look at the food, transportation, and other travel costs you could have during the trips. By whittling these down as much as possible without causing issues with your travel you can also save a great deal. In fact you could save up to 400 pounds by doing research and comparing, with a little planning thrown in. Once you have the package you want at the price you want, you need to start comparing the different companies with travel insurance. The travel agent may try to sell you travel insurance. Check their price against your credit card travel insurance. Credit cards offer travel insurance and payment protection that could help you during your trip. By comparing the many travel insurance companies out there you have a better chance of finding a cheaper deal. You don’t want to just go with the company being offered through the package. Chances are they have hiked the rates up due to a lack of competition, because many tourists on holiday don’t think about comparing the travel insurance options. The amount of insurance you receive should be comparable to what could happen and include all members of the family travelling with you. You might not get ill, but a child could just as easily and they are not always covered in your travel policy.
