The Beauty Of Lefkas
Lefkas has always been considered a place to go for the beauty of the land. Its green hillsides and beautiful coastline is what makes anyone's holiday to Lefkas enjoyable. The warm waters and beautiful weather is something that everyone enjoys. The Greek hospitality is something that you will find appealing when you visit. You will find that taverns and restaurants always have something to sample when you stop for a dinner or refreshment. All ages enjoy Lefkas because there is something for every age group to enjoy. The sightseeing in Lefkas is exceptional. If you are traveling with children, they will find some amusing things in the area.
The waterfalls and the cliffs are something to see. The area is filed with pine trees and valleys. The beaches are great for scuba diving and snorkeling. The beach that is ideal for families with small children is Nydri beach. The calm waters are easier for children to enjoy. Surfing is another popular sport. The south side of the island is where you will find the waves that surfers crave daily. Even if you are not a surfer, you should take some time to see how these surfers ride the waves. It is amazing to watch.
If you enjoy hiking, your holiday to Lefkas is going to be everything you would expect. The beautiful country and mountains are ideal for hiking. Hiking is the only way to see the entire area and enjoy it at the same time. If you happen to visit in August, there is a International Folklore Festival that is fantastic to attend. There is dancing and sing with food, wine and fun. Everything about Lefkas is amazing. The shopping, nightlife and shopping are all you would expect from such a beautiful place such as Lefkas.
There is only one thing that everyone should be aware of when visiting the monasteries and churches in the area. You should keep the legs and shoulders covered. This is a tradition in Greece and should be respected. It can offend some of the local if you do not follow this dress code. Greece is known as a friendly country to visit and Lefkas is such one of those places where you will find everyone very friendly and hospitable. With the friendly people and everything there is to do, you will have a great time for your holiday to Lefkas.
