Moscow is the capital of Russia but do not let that fool you. Moscow will be an exciting place for you to visit. There are museums, bars, restaurants, shops and even park and zoos. If you are looking for something spectacular to do, visit Red Square. Some of the most famous landmarks are found in this area. It is the historical square and the oldest in Moscow. You will see the St. Basil's Cathedral domes in this area as well. You might also pay a visit to the Kremlin, which is the historical, political and spiritual heart of Moscow. If you are looking for a ballet theatre, you will find the Bolshoi Theater has some of the best Russian ballet stars ever seen.
The Tretvakoy Galley has an extensive amount of Russian artworks. You will see paintings up public figures from the 18th and 19th century Russia. Some of Russia's most prominent public figures politicians writer is artists are buried at the Novdevichy Convent and Monastery. The monastery is a place that everybody loves to see. It has beautiful grounds and so much history. If you are looking for lively places to go, you will want to go to the Arbat. This is the best pedestrian street in Moscow that has street entertainers, art markets, souvenirs, clubs, bars, restaurants and street cafés.
You can spend hours walking around the streets visiting the cafés in the little clubs. However, at night the area really comes to life. The nightlife in Moscow is very entertaining. You can find live entertainment with live music, dancing and some great conversation. People of Moscow really know how to get out and have a good time. If you need more fun, excitement and adventure you will want to visit Gorky's Park.
Martin Cruz Smith wrote the Cold War novel Gorky's Park that has made this park very famous. The park was actually laid out in the early 1900s and is situated on over 250 acres of land. It is like one big recreation center. You will find a Ferris wheel, Happy Gardens and the Green Theater as well as an open theater that seats over ten thousand people. The park also has cafés, a rock club, sports grounds, fair grounds and a boating pond for everyone to enjoy. You will enjoy your holiday to Moscow with all these things to do.
