Outdoor Adventures In Galway

The adventure starts as soon as you reach Galway. A holiday to Galway is something of amazement because there is so much to do outdoors. The beauty of the area is a just amazing and when you add a few outdoor activities to the mix, you will have a fantastic vacation. Many people never see the Tropical Butterfly Centre. The tropical setting is just perfect in any weather conditions. The exotic butterflies that fly around the area are beautiful and unusual to most parts of the world. The color array is amazing. You can see hundreds of butterflies while exploring the centre.

Coole Park is a nature reserve that once had a home owned by Lady George standing on it. The home was taken down and now the area has the garden house for everyone to see and enjoy along with the autograph tree, which was preserved. The autograph tree is something to see. The autographs of some famous people are carved into the tree. The nature reserve has a lake, nature trails and a turlough. It is a great place to spend the day and enjoy a picnic lunch. The trails are beautiful and untouched by the growth of Galway.

Take a day trip to the Aran Islands while you are enjoying your holiday to Galway. The day trips will take you to areas where well-known authors stayed including the cottage where J.M. Synge stayed. He was a famous author. One thing you want to do while visiting Galway Bay besides the day trip is to sit and watch the sunset over the bay. If you are looking for a spectacular sunset, you will want to see sun setting over the bay. It is the most incredible sunset you have ever seen. You have probably seen many sunsets, but nothing as warm and beautiful as this sunset.

You might even enjoy spending a day tour to the Quiet Man Film location. The movie was made in the area and the location has remained the same without any change since. It is like walking around a filming studio. If you have ever seen the movie, you will appreciate the area and see how nothing is changed from the day they filmed. You will find that there are many things to do and see in the outdoors of Galway. You do not have to miss the beautiful weather by being indoors to enjoy yourself.
