Tips For Finding Cheap HolidaysCheap holidays take work. You can’t just expect to go online or talk with a travel agent and get what you want. Time is important, but if saving as much money as you can on your next holiday is more important then these tips below should be able to help you out. We are going to look at packages versus a ‘do it yourself’ vacation to show you how to save a little money. The only way to find out what vacation might be cheaper is to look at both options. A package holiday may be the right thing for you with the expenses you save. On the other hand there could be some fees in there that you don’t want to pay. There are two ways to get a package deal. You can create a package with an online website like Travelocity.com or Expedia.com or you can speak with a travel agent. A travel agent is going to have a commission, so right there you know there will be an extra expense for the travel agent to get a deal together for you and your family. A travel agent may have something that the other sites don’t get. Travel agents tend to get special deals and packages that no other website it going to have. Most travel companies give first priority to the travel agent to sell the deal. Therefore it is in your best interest to at least speak with an agent about their packages and compare to what you are finding online. With package deals you can expect to need an even number of people. Most hotels aren’t going to offer a package deal for one person, and if they do it will be more expensive than the package they offer for two people. When you create a package online you may be able to save with getting a flight, hotel and car. Again by comparing this to the travel agent package you will know which one to eliminate. The ‘do it yourself’ deals including creating a package online, but they can also be an individual option. It is best to also compare the individual pricing. For this you will look up each thing you need for the holiday separately and then compare the combination price from that. Most often you will discover a price difference of a few pounds, but sometimes you may save over a 100 pounds.
