You can plan your holiday to Bulgaria and get the most out of your trip with the perfect one-week itinerary. Start you vacation in Sophia relaxing in one of the many open space bars that are common in this area. The bars are a different type of bar experience that allows you to be inside a bar but there are no walls to confine you. You can have dinner in one of the many restaurants after taking the walking tour around the area. If you have time during the day, you should visit the Russian churches in Sophia. They are quite amazing to see.
The next morning, leave for Melnik, it is a beautiful part of Bulgaria that most people seem to forget about when planning their holiday to Bulgaria. The wine growing in the area is amazing and you can enjoy a day of exploring the wineries and sampling some of the fine wines that come from Melnik. The next day, you can head to Kovachevitsa. On the way, you can travel the mountain roads and see the countryside without any distractions. When you arrive, you will want to visit Heritage village. It is a beautiful place to explore.
On day four, travel to Plovdiv and wonder around the cobble roads. There is one place to have a fantastic dinner in Plovdiv called Hebros. It is the best place to fine some amazing tasting cuisine. Get up early the next day and travel further to Veliko Tarnovo stopping to see the tomb of Kazanluk. If you have time, visit the woodcarving museum and the ethnographic museums before heading to dinner. Plan your cheap holidays to Bulgaria to include a day in Varna. You will have to travel about four hours before reaching the area, but it is intriguing.
You can enjoy the last day of your travels driving to Koprivishtitsa, where you will find some beautiful sights. There is a place to dine in this area called Under the Pear Tree, which is necessary if you crave fine Bulgaria cuisine. Then head back to Sophia where you can enjoy a night of leisure and a few drinks at one of the open bars. Cheap holidays to Bulgaria with this itinerary allow you to spend some time in the most popular areas of Bulgaria. You will not regret seeing some of the unusual things that everyone forgets about when visiting.
