The clear blue waters, valleys and mountains is what makes a holiday to Zakynthos enjoyable. Zante is where people go if they want nightlife, sea, sand and sun. The villages are picturesque and there are many ancient sites to visit. There are many things to do when you visit the island. The cliffs are great for hiking around as well as the mountains. There are secluded coves as well as beautiful beaches. The weather is always right for beach activities and fun. There is something to do for all ages whether it is by the water or in the mountains. Families with young children enjoy going to Zakynthos because of the white sandy beaches and calm waters that are idea for the little ones. You will find family friendly beaches, water sports beaches and even a beach for turtles such as the Loggerhead to lay there eggs and multiplies. The miniature golf and fun park at Tsilivi is an idea place to take the family. Everyone stays busy all day long either in the water or on the golf course. The south side of the island is great for scenic tours. The beaches have a view that is just amazing. The vineyards have allowed the taverns and restaurants to serve some fine wines. If you need somewhere to take a walk after a large dinner and a few glasses of wine, you will enjoy the Smugglers Cove area. The ship that is buried half in the sand is an amazing thing to see. The cliffs are beautiful to walk around and look out over the water. The Cathedral of Saint Dennis is a beautiful place to see. You can look at it from land or from the sea. If you are looking for an incredible sunset, you can go to Kami. A Holiday to Zakynthos is always enjoyable. If you would like to see what the island looked like before the earthquake destroyed most of the area, you can visit the museum, which has a picture of the island as it was before the earthquake. This is something everyone should see. You can see the city as well as how much it changed in the rebuilding process. Enjoy some sightseeing, and then enjoy a dinner at any of the fine restaurants. There are many taverns and nightclubs for some incredible nightlife experiences as well. Everything is so beautiful on the island that you will want to stay even longer.
