You must see the village of Ano Vathi, which is known for its butterfly population. There are so many different butterfly varieties that you could sit for hours and see so many different species of butterflies. The nightlife is sort of low key, but the Greek music is heard in all the taverns.
If your holiday to Samos is during the summer months, you will find the temperatures hot and dry. The beaches are always a great place to be. There are secluded areas for a little more seclusion, which is great for a romantic day. The scuba diving and snorkeling is always adventurous. The waters are clear as can be and seeing the underwater marine life is exciting. It is not usual to see people popping out of the water at any beach area. The Samos area is always bustling with visitors. The locals are so friendly and always willing to converse about the island and its history.
