Fun And Excitement In Athens When you are in Athens for you cheap holidays, visit the Acropolis and the Parthenon. The architecture is amazing. You can see all the culture, religion and life that make Athens so popular. It is possible to spend hours just looking at everything in the area. The worshipping of the goddess Athena was done here. You can see the three temples, Nike, Erechtheion and Parthenon. Once you see the sights, you can visit the Acropolis Museum, which has many interesting exhibits and treasures from the ancient days of Athens. After seeing this area and the museum, you will have a better understanding of the Greek history. Do set time off to visit the Agora area. It was once home to the Slavs, Persians and Romans. Over the years it became deserted and is now a residential area in Athens. The areas of interest are the Altar of the Twelve Gods, Monument of the Eponymous Heroes, Patroons, Temple of Apollo and Stoa of Zeus. You can also see Tholas and Odeon of Agrippa. The area is filled with history and ancient buildings that represent the Greek culture. You will want to spend a day or so exploring the area. When you are deciding what to do in Athens, consider going to the National Archaeological Museum and the Daphni Monastery. You can spend an entire day in the museum seeing all the exhibits. The artwork is just beautiful. When you visit, make sure to stop in the café for a bite to eat and a view of the sculptures in the garden. The monastery is another place to see for the intriguing architecture. You are going to have a great time visiting Athens and you learn and see so much.
