Enjoy The Volcanic Island Of Lanzarote

Lanzarote is known as the volcanic island. The island is beautiful any time of the year. There are so many areas to explore and see some of the history of the island. The volcanoes that once almost destroyed the island are now a popular attraction. The national park called Timanfaya was created when a hundred volcanoes destroyed a large area of the island. You can take camel rides and see the area or there is a coach tour for visitors. One must see the caves that are part of the volcanic island. They are beautiful to see and explore.

Volcanoes are not the only thing that draws people to the island. The waters are warm and the sun is warming. The water activities are fun to do anytime one visits the island. There is paragliding, jet skiing, snorkeling and diving to enjoy on Lanzarote. The water is clear and blue, but it is also warm no matter when you visit. There are some areas of the island that have some great winds for parasailing and windsurfing, while other areas are great for snorkeling and scuba diving. Jet skiing is fun anywhere, but you do have to go to the areas where there is a rental shop.

The monument and house that is a tribute to farmers is exciting to see. It is a historical place that shows the traditional techniques used to farm the land. The other place to visit is the El Golfo crater. This incredible crater is filled with water from the sea. The water is so green because of the algae growing inside. It is amazing to see this green water hole. A favorite place that everyone can enjoy is the Lanzarote Aquarium. You will see so many different species of marine life. It is fun to sit and watch how the marine life moves through the waters.

Two other places not to forget about when you take your cheap holidays to Lanzarote are the Cactus Garden and the Wine Museum. The Wine Museum is a great place to go. The exhibits are amazing and very interesting. The Cactus Garden is has sculptures and cacti as well as the famous windmill that was restored. The area surrounding the gardens is just beautiful and enjoyable. The island is filled with so many things to do, but if you love the scenery and walking, there are so many places to go.
